    Let's think about the second life of car tires. Let's remember the second life of car tires Second life of an abandoned tire presentation

    Take your time to throw away old car tires, because they can be used to make many useful things for the home or garden, for the garage or playground, and just for the street. Such items will not require much material costs, but they will last a long time, because rubber is a very wear-resistant and durable material.

    Of course, first of all, the tires need to be freed from all that is superfluous, and how they should be redeemed - after all, they have collected a lot of dust and dirt on themselves, conquering our not too comfortable roads.
    Well, after drying, you can do creativity and make some practical or unusual thing.

    For home

    For example - a table. Moreover, it can consist of two tires laid on top of each other, or of one, if you make base legs under it.

    The lid can be a glass, wood or plastic circle, depending on what you have on hand.

    Under the glass lid, you can create any interesting volumetric composition - from the city of the future to the Japanese rock garden. By the way, you can also place a lake there, filling some suitable container with transparent epoxy resin. In general, such a table is a real testing ground for your imagination, because the top glass can be lifted at any time and the composition can be changed.
    By the way, what do you think about a real mini-landfill - with miniature models of tanks and a landscape pitted with craters? Such a composition is a great surprise for small and large men on February 23rd.

    This option can serve as a low table, and a banquet, and a stand (for example, for flowers). A plywood circle is simply fixed on the tire, and then the whole structure is wrapped and pasted over with a thick rope.
    If you smear the entire surface with furniture varnish or PVA glue, the surface will become more durable and moisture resistant.

    A large "bagel" wrapped in textiles is a wonderful piece for a children's room, because children love to sit on the floor. You can comfortably sit on the donut, or fold the toy inside.

    And pets will also like it, because inside you can sleep, or hide.

    Another option is a low bench completely covered with fabric. You can put an unnecessary pillow, an old thick blanket or foam rubber inside. Fill in the middle and sew it over with fabric. And then you can make removable covers with a zipper or elastic band, which are easy to wash and change according to your mood.

    The option of painted tires equipped with soft seats is perfect for a veranda, garage, gazebo or yard, especially if inner part easy to remove and clean so that it does not get damp overnight or in case of bad weather.

    Such "stools" can be on legs or just lie on the floor.

    Want a new chair? Two tires, bent plywood back, soft padding and a little labor. The beautiful cover will easily hide the structure, and the soft pillow will add comfort.

    The stand for umbrellas and walking sticks looks very original.

    For the yard

    Isn't it a bench? And not a common one, but with individual soft seats and nice cushions. Such a "bench" can be fixed in the courtyard under a canopy, against the wall of a workshop or garage, in order to rest in the air on a summer day.

    Practically garden furniture! Chairs with backs and stools made of tires. To facilitate the construction of the seat and backrest, they are made of a stretched strong cord or braided wire. And of course - a table.

    Furniture can be very diverse.

    A mosaic panel on a tire? Why not?

    Waste containers can also be crafted from car tires.

    For the playground

    With the help of tires, it is easy to equip a playground. Such structures can be built in the courtyard of a private house or on a free area of an urban residential area.

    By hanging the tires on thick, sturdy ropes, you can make a swing. Moreover, adults may well swing on them.

    If there is nowhere to fix the hanging swing, then why not just make a swing chair out of a large tire and a long board. Unlike conventional rockers, you don't need metal hinges here.

    By the way, the rocking chair can be made wider and more stable if you use not one, but two tires and slightly change the design of the swing.

    Having shown imagination, you can build many funny animals from tires, having arranged a whole zoo on the playground. Look what a wonderful turtle! And the shell is just an old metal basin.

    What kid doesn't dream of becoming a racer? You can start with such a machine.

    An asphalt paver is a car that few people manage to drive. But not in this case.

    Tires can be used to build towers and fortresses, an obstacle course and slides. Unlike wood, metal or stone, such structures are much less traumatic for children.

    A sandbox for a kid is an integral part of any home or summer cottage where there are children. And the easiest way is to make it out of a large tire, by fixing an umbrella from the sun in the center. This sandbox can be easily moved if necessary or covered with plastic in case of rain. You just need to remove the umbrella, stretch the cover and tuck the edges under the tire.

    Also, to keep the sand clean on the sandbox, you can make a round wooden lid and remove it only for the duration of the game. In this case, you can be firmly sure that your or your neighbor's cats will not arrange a toilet there, that trash, broken glass fragments or practice, or old nails and other dangerous objects will not get into the sand, especially if the sandbox is located near the garage or workshop.

    You can fence off the playground with all those de tires - just digging them vertically to the desired depth. You can sit on such a fence, you can run, jump on it and include it in children's games in many other ways.

    For garden

    A garden pond made from a large tire is just a brilliant idea! Thick rubber walls will perfectly protect the inner polyethylene coating from accidental damage. By the way, you can also put rubber cut into strips under the bottom of the tire so that the polyethylene does not touch the ground (especially if it is rather rocky).

    And of course, the most obvious thing for which tires can be adapted are flower beds. They can be high and low, multi-tiered, curly and even suspended - in the form of pots.

    Sometimes perennials, bushes or trees are planted in the center of the tire, so that it is more convenient to care for the plant: to water, fertilize, remove weeds.

    Garden compositions, including a flower bed and garden sculpture, look very interesting. They can be placed in the most unexpected places on the site.

    I. Introduction.

    Relevance: in cities, the main source of harmful substances entering the environment is motor vehicles.I learned from the Internet thatabout 16 thousand used tires are produced annually. They cannot be burned, and their burial requires considerable space and costs. So what to do about this trouble?

    Object of study:used car tires.

    Duration of the project: short.

    Project type: educational research project.

    Hypothesis: if you find safe for healthapplication of worn-out tires, the ecological situation in the country will improve.

    Objective of the project: study the composition of used tires and find a use for them that does not harm humans.

    1. Explore the history of the car tire.
    2. Study the composition of car tires.
    3. Find out what the student and teacher families are doing with old tires.
    4. Identify safe methods of using car tires.

    Research methods:search, reference and information, creative search, experiment.

    II. Main part

    The history of the emergence of a car tire:

    Car tire is one of the most important elementswheels , which are an elastic rubber-metal-fabric shell installed onrim disk. Tire provides contact vehicle withexpensive , designed to mitigate vibrations caused by uneven roads.

    The first inventor of the tire is considered to be the Englishman Robert Thomson. In the middle of the 18th century, he patented his invention - a camera made of pieces of leather connected by rivets. However, his innovation has not received any practical application - no one is simply interested in this development.

    The second inventor of the tire was John Dunlop, an ordinary veterinarian. The veterinarian's son could never learn to ride a bicycle. Then Dunlop made hoops from a regular watering hose and pumped air into them. The result simply amazed the inventor himself and all his acquaintances. As a result, in 1888, John Dunlop received a patent for his "pneumatic hoop", which could be used for vehicles.

    In the 19th century, several inventors tried to refine the tire. In 1890, a young engineer, Charles Kingston Weltch, separated the tire from the tube. A little later, the Englishman Bartlett and the Frenchman Didier proposed methods of mounting and dismounting tires.

    In 1895 the French Andre and Edouard Michelin- the first to use pneumatic tires on cars.

    Since 1970, the tire industry has grown faster and more competent tire manufacturers have emerged. This has led to today's diversity - after all, these days tires can be selected for any weather,type of road surface and even driving style.

    Practical part:

    • Chemical composition of tires:

    Natural rubber. 14%. It is used most often in the rubber composition of the sidewalls of models, guaranteeing elasticity and resilience.

    Synthetic rubber. 27%The main element in a tire cocktail, it takes up a large proportion of the rubber composition and directly affects the driving performance.

    Soot. 28% The presented material occupies 1/3 of the composition and, as a rule, denotes characteristics such as wear resistance and strength for a product.
    Silicon dioxide or silica... Silica is used primarily in the manufacture of winter tires. Silicon dioxide provides rubber with elasticity, softness,comfort and excellent wet grip. But the main advantage of silicic acid is its resistance to low temperatures.
    Sulfur. ten% Sulfur is used as an auxiliary element for binding the molecules of the above-described polymers.

    Emollient oils. ten%Natural emollients. Among other things, a large number of unique natural elements are used to provide certain properties.

    Let's take a closer look at one of the components - soot. Soot particles can cause double breaks in a person's DNA strand and lead to chronic pneumonia. Soot also causes emphysema, a lung damage characterized by chronic shortness of breath.

    Do you still doubt that car tires are harmful to your health?

    • Experiment # 1

    I conducted a survey among students in grades 8-11, as well as teachers of our school, to find out how old car tires are used in the families of the respondents.(Sample questionnaire in Appendix 1)

    Analysis of the questionnaires showed that 20% of the respondents do not have a car at all in families, 40% keep old tires in their home / country house and consider this method safe, 30% hand them over to recycling points, 5% burn them and 5% are not interested in this issue ...

    Bottom line: Most of the families surveyed use an old car tire incorrectly.

    Let us prove that burning a car tire is an unsafe method of operation.

    • Experiment # 2

    I talked to my dad, an experienced motorist, who told me what happens to a tire under the influence high temperatures... Firstly, a pungent odor is released, which causes a deterioration in well-being, headaches. Secondly, a huge amount of soot is released into the atmosphere, which, naturally, negatively affects both the nature around us and our health.

    Output: an old tire gives off harmful chemicals at elevated temperatures. And not only into the air, but also into the soil. In addition, a tire is a fire hazardous item. Therefore, this method of using an old tire is unsafe.

    All this also proves that old car tires cannot be used to decorate flower beds and playgrounds, since, especially in hot weather, figures from tires emit many harmful chemicals.

    III. Conclusion

    The result of my research work:We have found that burning and decorating flower beds and playgrounds with old tires are unsafe methods of using tires.

    Thus, we come to the conclusion that the only safe method is disposal.

    All available methods of processing tires can be roughly divided into two areas: physical and chemical.

    There are two chemical methods - direct combustion and high-temperature processing. The high-temperature method is used to process tires into fuel. Both methods have two major drawbacks: contamination environment, loss of valuable secondary raw materials, such as tires.

    Physical processing of tires is based on mechanical crushing, thus obtaining rubber crumb, which is in great demand among consumers. Due to the fact that it retains many of the properties that rubber had before processing, such products are excellent for the construction industry. The crumb is used to create rubberized asphalt, track for running in stadiums, mats for exercising in gyms, insulating pads and anti-slip surfaces. Despite the relatively low price material, products from it are of high quality.

    What are the prospects for the development of this environmental problem in the future?

    Due to the fact that there are few people in our country who care this problem, I assume that abrupt shifts in good side will not happen. There are no recycling points for used tires in villages and small towns. Few of those who want to take them to more big cities... Someone does not have the opportunity for this, someone has time. It seems that we began to forget about the most important thing: health is what is most important. Health for us and the future generation! Yes, I think that there will be no shifts, but everything is in our hands, if we just want to!

    What contribution can I personally offer to solve this environmental problem in our city?

    1. Remove from territories educational institutions figures from old used tires.
    2. Build organizations that would cooperate with factories for the processing of secondary raw materials.

    Research conclusion:old tires must not be thrown into the forest or on the side of the road. You cannot decorate flower beds and playgrounds with old tires! Give a second life to an abandoned tire wisely! Take them to recycling points! Don't pollute our planet!

    Throwing a tire is not difficult, easy.
    Only then will it respond!
    Mother Nature bent down and cries.
    People, we need to think about it!
    Protecting the globe is not easy
    But if not us, then who?

    I Introduction

    Relevance

    In the summer, with my parents, we went to the lake to rest. On the way, I noticed a huge dump of car tires. Dad explained to me that these are used tires, that they can no longer be used and they are taken to the landfill, where they are stored.

    There are a lot of cars in the city, and every year there are even more of them. I learned from the Internet that about 16 thousand used car tires are generated in the city every year. They cannot be burned due to the fact that toxic components are released into the atmosphere, and for burying a large number of tires in the ground, significant areas and considerable financial costs are required. What awaits us in the future? Environmentalists argue that such landfills are harmful to the city and insist on their destruction. What can people do, and what contribution can I make to make the ecology of our city cleaner?

    Hypothesis

    If worn tires are used, the ecological situation in the city will improve, the city will become more attractive, and the level of its improvement will increase.

    Target: to study the properties of used tires and find a use for them that does not harm humans.

    Research objectives:

      Study the history of the emergence of automobile tires.

      To study the availability and storage of used car tires in the families of classmates.

      Investigate the properties of used car tires (useful and harmful to humans and the environment).

      Present your research to students, teachers and school parents.

    Object of study: used car tires.

    Subject of study: properties of the used car tire.

    There are 29 presentations in total

    In the spring, any owner tries to ennoble and decorate his site. This can be a courtyard of a large house, a summer cottage, or a playground. Creative ideas and unusual structures surprise us more and more every year. Skilled craftsmen create beauty from any materials and things. Surely everyone from childhood is familiar with flower beds and tire fences. Without limiting their imagination, skilled craftsmen offer many options for crafts from car tires.

    Required Materials for Tire Crafts

    Crafts from tires will easily decorate and refresh any area. Unusual decorations will delight the eye and will not leave indifferent any child. Crafts like these can be practical and decorative.

    If you have old tires lying around, then spring is just the right time to put them into action. At the preparatory stage, think carefully about all the details and make a list of what you may need in the course of work - this will significantly save time in the future. You will definitely need:

    • tires (in the amount required for the embodied idea);
    • a knife that will cut tires well;
    • exterior paints;
    • brushes;
    • screws;
    • screwdriver;
    • plywood;
    • shovel.

    Supplement this list according to your request, because your imagination is not limited.

    Practical garden crafts made from car tires

    The suburban area perfectly reflects the face of its owner. It is at the dacha that a person, with his work and care, creates an unforgettable and unique corner of rest. Not always and not everyone has the financial opportunity to purchase finished products for a summer residence. Also, not everyone has a desire to do this when there is an opportunity to try themselves in a new kind of creativity.

    Tire ottoman

    For this product you will need: a tire, hemp or jute rope, two plywood circles, self-tapping screws, varnish, glue. And also a set of tools: drill, scissors, brush.

    • plywood circles in diameter should coincide with the tire;
    • we put plywood circles on the tire and make holes with a drill;
    • screw the screws into the holes created, thereby fixing the plywood on the tire;
    • we do this on both sides;
    • then we decorate the workpiece, for this you need a rope and glue. We begin to glue the rope from the center of the plywood. We glue the rope in a circle, gradually pasting the plywood, the tire, and then, reaching the second side of the plywood, cut and glue the rope. We also begin to glue the second side of the plywood from the center;
    • since the pouf will be used outdoors, it must be protected. Pouring with varnish will help in this;
    • when the varnish dries, the pouf is ready to use.

    Flower beds from car tires

    If your acquaintance with tire products has just begun, then it is better to give preference to simple options. For example, you can make a small flower bed:

    • take 4 tires;
    • Cut 3 of them in half (to make halves). It is better to cut such material with a boot knife or jigsaw;
    • paint all tires. A brush or spray can do this. Choose a color that will be combined with future plants in the flower bed;
    • Lay the tire halves in the form of petals, fill with prepared soil;
    • Place the whole tire in the middle of the flower and also fill it with soil.

    Another simple option for a flower bed made of tires is a pyramid flower bed:

    • take 5 tires (more if desired);
    • paint all tires in the desired color;
    • in two tires, attach a round sheet of plywood on one side, thus organizing the bottom. Make some holes in this day;
    • lay 3 tires in a row and fill with soil,
    • at the intersections of the tires, install 2 tires with a bottom on top and also cover with soil.

    The flower bed can also be suspended:

    • think about what the bottom of your flower bed will be. It can be a bottom made of a sheet of plywood, a rubber bottom, or you can do without it if you install a pots in the tire-flower bed itself;
    • fasten a strong metal chain to the tire (a rope or thick cord is also suitable);
    • paint the tire in the selected color;
    • when it is completely dry, install it in a previously prepared place.

    Country paths

    Another option for using tires at a summer cottage is to create a track from them. If you have always thought about the need to build a track and postponed this business due to the laboriousness or financial costs, then this is your option:

    • Use a sharp knife to separate the tire treadmill from the sidewalls. To facilitate this task, do not forget to periodically lubricate the knife with soapy water, and also be extremely careful;
    • the resulting element of the treadmill from the tire must also be cut to form a kind of rubber band;
    • do this work with the number of tires that you need to create the track;
    • the width of the track is determined independently by the owner, but usually it is 3-4 tires wide;
    • Be sure to level the area for the path: remove the top layer of earth, and pour fine gravel or a thin layer of concrete in its place. After that, you can spread the rubber tracks;
    • Another option for laying a rubber track: nail the rubber blanks to the boards, and lay the boards like a track.

    A ladder path is one of the options for the summer use of tires:

    • you will need whole tires;
    • lay the tires on the ground, starting from the lower level;
    • when laying out tires, deepen them a little into the ground;
    • pour the filler inside the laid out tires. For this, natural soil is suitable;
    • to prevent slipping in wet weather, sprinkle the finished ladder with gravel.

    Tire pool

    A small reservoir on your site can be made without special financial costs, you can use car tires. Tires of any size are suitable for a small decorative reservoir, but if you want to make a kind of pool in which you can plunge, then it is better to use tractor tires.

    • prepare the main material: a bag of cement, sand;
    • select the area where the pool will be located. Peel it off, peel off the top layer of earth to clay. Cover the top with a sandy "pillow" and then cement. To do this, you will need about two buckets of cement, its layer should be at least 20 cm;
    • cut the upper part of the tire with a knife to the tread, leaving a small edging;
    • we also cut off a little rubber from the bottom so that the bottom is smooth;
    • in order to prevent the pool from leaking when the rubber is displaced, fill its bottom with molten tar;
    • after that, lay a film on the bottom (this can be purchased in hardware stores) and carefully fill the pool with water;
    • then give the outside of the pool an aesthetic look. You can use anything: brickwork, decorative plaster, paint.

    Decorative decorations for the area of tires

    Decor elements for your summer cottage can be made with your own hands, using old car tires for this. Unusual figures, fairy-tale characters, swings, sandboxes - all this will become a highlight of your yard and a favorite place for children.

    Tire swing

    • prepare the necessary materials: a strong branch, a sharp knife and jigsaw, a chain or strong rope, a tire;
    • tie the end of the rope into a loop, making the knots strong;
    • Throw the loop over the branch, pass the rest of the rope through it and tighten;
    • put the tire perpendicular to the ground;
    • Pass the rope through the tire and attach it at a height of 80-90 cm from the ground.

    Sandbox

    Sandbox from one (large) tire:

    • prepare the selected area, dig a small depression - in diameter it should not be larger than the diameter of the tire;
    • cut the top of the tire so that it is free;
    • cut edges must be processed, it is better to do this with a cut rubber hose;
    • then paint the sandbox to your liking;
    • after the paint has dried, you can install the tire and cover it with sand;
    • an additional element of such a sandbox can be an umbrella or a canopy in the center of the sandbox to create shadow.

    Garden figures

    A tire palm tree will become an original and fresh decoration of your site:

    • flatten the tire by cutting it with a sharp knife or jigsaw;
    • then on the prepared rubber draw outlines of palm branches with a contrasting pencil;
    • then cut out the rubber palm branches with a jigsaw;
    • paint green;
    • Attach the finished leaves with nails to the tree trunks that have outlived their life.

    • we start working with the marking of the tire;
    • from the middle of the tire we outline the neck, from the sidewalls - the wings;
