Moscow Pedagogical State University invites schoolchildren of grades 5-11 To participate inInterregional Foreign Language Olympiad.(III level in the List of Olympiads of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation).

Olympiad in English language is held in strategic partnership with the English language school Skyeng and Rostelecom.

Distance tour assignments consist of four compulsory blocks: listening, reading, grammar assignments, vocabulary assignments. Registration for the distance tour is open from January 17 to March 14.

The full-time tour will take place on March 25 in the Building of the Humanitarian Faculties of the Moscow State Pedagogical University and at regional sites in Anapa, Stavropol, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Syktyvkar, Barnaul and Montenegro.

The main task of the Olympiad is to enable gifted children, regardless of their place of residence and material wealth, to enter the host Pedagogical University country. I received the information that according to the preliminary results of the correspondence round of the Olympiad in English, my results are in the top 500 and I was invited to the face-to-face round. I went through a questionnaire survey and chose the site of the Moscow State Pedagogical University (Vernadsky prospect 88) for the full-time round. The letter states that the face-to-face tour will take place from 10:00 to 18:00.

• How can I pass the English Olympiad?

  Participation in the Internet Olympiad in English is free. Only the certificate of participation in the Olympiad (optional) is paid for.

  The organizers do not provide work to the participants. This is done so that participants cannot distribute tasks with answers and thereby influence the result of other participants.

• How is the Olympics going?

  The Olympiad is held in one stage. Each participant will find out his result immediately after completing the tasks of the Olympiad. Participants who scored 91-100 points are awarded I place, 81-90 points - II place, 71-80 points - III place. To confirm the result, the participant can order an electronic or paper certificate, which will indicate the accumulated number of points and the prize place.

• Who checks the tasks completed by the participants of the Olympiad?

  Olympiad tasks are checked automatically in accordance with the criteria laid down in software... The criteria for evaluating the tasks of the Olympiad are determined by the jury formed by the Methodological Council of the Olympiad from specialists educational organizations, whose names have not been released. The organizers do not comment on the criteria for evaluating the tasks of the Olympiad.

• How to get a certificate of participation in the Olympiad?

Unfortunately, I cannot rate the assignments, because I do not speak German. But the child liked it, participated with pleasure. The impression from the organization of the event was spoiled by the fact that the whole system was frozen 10 minutes before the end of the allotted time. My daughter was very worried that nothing had survived. As a result, the tasks were scored, but literally three points were not enough to reach the prize-winning place. Perhaps, if not for this failure in the system, they would have received their diploma. I sent a letter with a description of the problem and screenshots of screens for feedback (as the organizers asked - to write reviews), but received nothing in response. I hope we managed to solve the problem. We will definitely participate next year!

Organization is not up to par, especially for toddlers. Something "guilty" of five-graders, who performed the task in the English language. For them, the only results have not yet been published.
