Following the swamp in the fireball, falling and rising again, we went to our own - to the partisans. The Germans were lying in his native village.
And now the Germans bombed our camp for a whole month. "The partisans were destroyed," they were sent, finally, reporting to their Supreme Command. But the invisible hands were allowed again under the slopes of the train, the warehouses with weapons were exploding, the German garrisons were destroyed.

    Chapter IV.
Public and home life of the population in the territory of partisan edges and zones

    4. Soviet schools in the rear of the enemy

The wonderful page in the chronicles of the nationwide struggle against Hitlerism and his reactionary ideology was the activities of Soviet schools in the rear of the enemy.

The German-fascist invaders who sought to turn our country into their colony, and the Soviet people in the slaves of German imperialism, reduced to a minimum network of public education institutions: in the occupied territory, not only all higher educational institutions did not work, but even secondary schools. Only in the settlements where fascist garrisons stood, or in the immediate vicinity of them, the Nazis left a certain number of primary schools, intending to use them in the interests of the spiritual enslavement of our people.

The fascist nationalist "Belarusian newspaper", admiring the fascist so-called "new order," reported that in the 1943/44 school year, 5 defunals worked on the territory of Belarus. And this is in the territory of the republic, where even before the war, a general primary education was carried out, where in the 1940/41 academic year there were 2562 seven-year schools. For the deception of workers, the Nazis has written in newspapers for three years of occupation that they will open some higher educational institutions in Belarus, but they, of course, have not opened.

The main task that the German-fascist invaders were put in front of schools under their control was the spread of the imperialist human-nursing slave-colonial ideology, the struggle against the ideology of Soviet, communist. In his order about the temporary school order, Gaulyuter Belarus Cuba stated: "Every Bolshevik influence that comes from school will fight death ..."

In those schools that, the Nazis allowed to open, they demanded the upbringing of children in the spirit of humility and complete submission to Hitler's invaders. In primary school programs, 30 percent of the study time was given to the study of German, a short time - arithmetic, reading and physical education. The study of the native language and other general educational disciplines of time almost never remained. The teaching of the Russian language in the Ukrainian, Belarusian schools and schools of other Allied republics was completely prohibited. The same Cuba was openly announced in his newspaper Minicer Zaytung, that the goal of the German "school policy is a German orientation (i.e. One-Mischivani.- A. 3.) Belarusian youth." The occupiers demanded the ideas about the dominant role of fascist Germany from teachers into the ordinary role of fascist Germany. Teachers were charged with a duty daily before the start of lessons for 30 minutes to explain to the guys who such Hitler, which "good" brought the people an occupational "new order", which success was achieved by the German army in the war with the Soviet Union. Pursuing the same goal - "the fight against the Bolshevik influence", the occupation authorities categorically prohibited using Soviet textbooks. The Nazis soon brought the schools who were under their control, to such a state, when they did not only have any textbooks, but even the most necessary benefits. In one of his articles, the nationalist fascist "Belarusian newspaper" was forced to admit that there are no paper in schools, there are no visual benefits.

The German fascists servants of Belarusian bourgeois nationalists made an attempt to raise the issue of editions of their textbooks poisoned by the poison of anti-Soviet ideology. But, as it turned out, the occupiers declared the need to consider this issue only in Berlin. In this regard, Belarusian national penalties tied with their masters a lacket correspondence, which stretched to the complete expulsion of the Hitler's occupiers from the Soviet land. From this correspondence, it is clear that the German-fascist invaders did not want to provide textbooks even those schools in which Belarusian bourgeois nationalists hosted. Yes, it is understandable. Such a school policy of the Nazis fully complied with their desire to prevent the spread of education in the Soviet territories occupied by them.

It should be proved that the Soviet people who have fallen under the foreign fascist igo should have reacted rarely towards school politics of the Hitler's occupiers. The fulfillment of the Communist Party, its underground organizations in the rear of the enemy, helped the politics of the spiritual oppression of the German fascists. Not wanting that the invaders desecrate their human-winner ideology of the younger generation, parents most often did not let their children in schools under the control of the fascist occupation authorities. Yes, and children did not want to visit such schools. The obvious failure of the politicians of the occupiers in school on the territory of Ukraine, even one of the fascist newspapers, noting that in many classes of students who worked at the time of the students were "it was only 10-12-15 and even less, while at the norm in each class of their It should have been at least 30. "

Very many residents of the territories occupied by the territory retained at their pre-war school textbooks so that at a convenient case, to use them to train their children in the Soviet spirit. In places who threatened frequent attacks of Hitler's punitive expeditions, the locals have buried Soviet textbooks in the ground, hid them and other places. When in October 1944, after the expulsion of the Hitler's occupiers from Belarus, a seven-year-old school resumed its work in the village of Orekhovno Ushach district, a seven-year-old school has resumed its work, many students have reached prevented Soviet textbooks. One tutorial accounted for 5-6 people of students. It is quite a lot, if you consider that the majority of houses in the village were burned from bombing and during the enemy blockade.

It should be said to honor a crowded army of Soviet teachers who ended up in the territory occupied by the enemy, it should be said that the overwhelming majority of them, together with all the people, expressed an active protest of the school policy of the fascist occupiers and led the struggle against the spiritual enslavement of our youth. Many teachers not only did not work in schools who were under the control of the Hitler's occupation authorities, but in every way tried to disrupt the work of such schools. Soviet teachers have covered school equipment and textbooks from fascists. Even the nationalist "Belarusian newspaper", speaking of local teachers, was forced to admit that they were not deprived of many balances of the Bolshevik ideology in consciousness. " Recalling his stay in the Bryansk forests, A. Saburov says that in the fall of 1941, the occupation authorities decided to open the school in the village of Red Slobod to the entire major district. Teachers took to choose the burgomaster himself. When M. Gutareva's teacher asked Burgomaster, for what textbooks to deal with children, he first began to say that it was necessary to pull out some pages from old textbooks, but then stopped the yolling and frankly stated: "Teach without any textbooks. Not a rustic rustic guys can be able to read, write, count. The main thing is to entrust the confidence in them and ask for detail about their parents: what they say what they do than breathing. " Burgomaster ordered to report to him personally. For the disclosure of this conversation threatened the execution. But Hitler's guitle failed to carry out his insidious ideas. Soviet patriot M. Gutareva did not work on the occupiers. She joined the ranks of the Folk Avengers. And the rapid growth of the partisan movement in the Bryansk forests did not allow the fascist occupation authorities to open the "school" in the Red Sloboda, as well as in a number of other settlements.

Patriotic teachers, often risking their lives, in advance with the fascist authorities trained children in accordance with the programs of Soviet schools. Despite the categorical orders of the occupiers, forbidden to use Soviet textbooks and books to teach children, teachers continued to illegally use them. The teacher of the village of Yazin Putivlsky District of Sumy Region V. Silina continued on the Council partisans to teach the history of the USSR under the guise of grammar. In many cities and villages of Ukraine, even in open occupiers, anti-fascist underground groups were created. Teachers secretly held meetings of students dedicated to revolutionary dates. Without the opportunity to work at school, some Soviet teachers trained children in various other places. The Hero of the Soviet Union. Artzeyev talks about his book "Partisan Jul", that in his native village of Mashev, the Semenovsky district of the Chernihiv region, the old teacher F. L. Pravko, hiding from the occupiers, taught children in the summer in the forest.

Great resourcefulness and dedication showed a young teacher of the village of Kaleevites of the Vilesk region Anna Iosifovna Pashkevich. She worked the whole war in school, where children came to the village of Kaleevts and neighboring villages. Despite the fact that a few kilometers from the village stood a large garrison of the Nazis, Patriot was taught children under Soviet programs and textbooks. When the fascists came to the village, the guys quickly hid their Soviet textbooks in a cache arranged between the stove and the wall, and the teacher took from the closet and laid out old magazines from the cabinets, who were published in Bourgeois Poland. The school did not have a single textbook of the USSR history, and Anna Josephovna replaced him with his live story about the last heavy life in the bourgeois strictness, on the release of workers in Western Belarus in 1939 by the troops of the Red Army, about the need to deal against the fascist occupiers. The native language of the guys of this school was studied not only on textbooks, which were very small, but also by partisan newspapers and leaflets.

During the classes, older students put their walkieres on the approaches to the school, the guys along with the teacher themselves prepared for the winter of firewood and drove their school. The teacher often had the most needy children help in nutrition. So I was doing A. I. Pashkevich with all four classes until the end of the fascist occupation. In the 1943/44 school year, Kaleevitsa was in the partisan zone. The final exams in the spring of 1944. Grade 4 students were kept in the presence of two partisan commanders who were sitting at the table along with the teacher.

But not always the desire of children to learn from Soviet textbooks, in the spirit of Soviet socialist traditions in those schools that were near the fascist garrisons, ended so well. Fascists often burned schools, killed teachers, mocked children. This is what tells about the work of the Korostovetka School of the Kletric District, the former secretary of the underground district of A. Semenov. In the Korostovetka school, the next incident occurred at the Russian language lesson. The teacher told the disciples to come up with an exclamationative offer. The boy whose father went to the front, shouted: "Long live the Red Army!" The teacher stopped the children and said that now it is forbidden to say so, you need to find more suitable examples. Then one boy stated: "I am invented! .. Death Hitler and all the fascists!" Having learned about this, the commandant of the district center of Plenty ordered to burn a Korostovetsky school.

A completely different situation was in the territory of partisan edges. In those who worked there, no one could prevent teachers with children on Soviet programs and textbooks. However, the incessant fascist punitive expeditions, blockades, bombing from the air did not allow the opportunity to organize the work of schools in a wide scale. Yet Soviet schools existed in many partisan regions. In the fall of 1941 in the partisan region formed in the territory of the Dedovichsky, Belbell and neighboring areas of the Leningrad Region, 53 schools began to work. Local teachers and teachers-partisans with the help of Komsomol and Pioneer organizations got tables, desks, cool boards, textbooks, and visual manuals, bought children and began classes with them.

In the autumn of the same 1941, 8 schools were opened in the Ashevsky District of the Kalinin region, which, together with those mentioned above, the areas of the Leningrad region entered one partisan region. We worked in the first military winter of the school and on the territory of the partisan edge of the Bryansk forests.

In the second academic year, the period of war in connection with the expansion of the partisan movement, the Soviet schools began to work in the territories of other areas that were in the rear of the enemy. Such schools opened in the territory of the Smolensk region. The restoration of schools was preceded by the work, which was held party organizations of partisan edges with teachers. In the Yelninsky district of this area, in April - May 1942 were held two district conferences of teachers. Especially vigorously the recovery of schools in the 1942/43 school year on the territory of the October-Lyuban partisan Territory of Belarus. Here this important and serious work was launched on the initiative of the Central Committee LKSMB. At the suggestion of the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Komsomol Belarus, K. T. Mazurov, who was located in the partisan region, was convened a meeting of the deputy commissars of partisan detachments in Komsomol, who were entrusted to lead the recovery of schools in villages and the villages of the Partisan Territory. Representatives of the Central Committee of the Komsomol, together with the Minsk underground committee, were picked up teachers who fought in the ranks of folk avengers. On September 1, 1942, in the distant enemy rear on the territory of the October and Lyuban regions of Belarus, about 20 Soviet schools began to work. Fascists barbarus bombed guerrilla schools, burned the buildings. In the conditions of the exacerbated struggle against the enemy, the training of children in the territory of this partisan region in the first months of 1943 ceased.

In the 1943/44 school year, schools began to work again in the new partisan parts of the Leningrad Region and Belarus. On February 20, 1944, the newspaper of the Leningrad Region of the Komsomol "Change" placed the letter of students of the Sofronogorsk school of the Stogo-Krasnoy district, which was in the partisan region, students of Leningrad in his pages. In his letter, schoolchildren told about the conditions of study at the enemy's rear.

    This is a letter.

    "Dear guys-Leningraders!

More recently, our district was a deep German rear. Now every day is getting closer and closer to us part of the Red Army, and we look forward to us when the Germans roll away from us as far as they rolled back now from the city of Lenin.

Dear Guys! It is difficult for you to imagine our lives. We know, it was hard for you in Leningrad, surrounded by the Germans. But you still lived all the time, and the fascists could not mock you. For you all the time schools were open. You had notebooks, textbooks, pencils, feathers. You could say what you wanted to sing our Soviet songs.

And we lived quite differently. Over two years, our locality was under the rule of the damned Nazis, and they mocked us as soon as they wanted. We, of course, learn to learn. We did not have schools. Yes, if the school was, then during this time it was so broke out that going to learn would still have nothing to go.

If it were not for partisans, the Nazis still continued to mock us. But the fighters-partisans took our village, and now our entire locality is called the "partisan edge". Bold guerrillas protect us from the Germans. They not only fight with the enemy, but also care about us guys. Now the partisans have opened a school for us and, as soon as they can help us in school. But learn is not easy for us. We have no notebooks and we write on old wallpaper, which we tear off from the walls of houses destroyed by the Nazis. Ink, feather and pencils, we also do not. Textbooks Germans burned. But we managed to hide from them several textbooks, here we are engaged in them. Now our school has already 42 students, and all new and new guys arrive to us almost every day. We are all looking forward to the time when the native red army comes to our places and when we will forever get rid of the fascist rapists. With greetings - students of the 3rd and 4th grades of the Sofronogorsk school. "

Of great interest is the history of Soviet schools in the Brest region. About twenty partisan schools worked there. They were created in family detachments formed from local residents in partisan detachments and connections. Only in the partisan brigade named after Sverdlov was 9 family detachments. People belonging to these detachments lived in whole families with old men and children among forests and swamps, between the lakes of the Black and Spore of the Berezovsky District. The conditions for the work of partisan schools in forest family detachments were very difficult.

The first of the forest partisan schools of the Brest region began to be created in September 1943. Some schools here have opened here in the last 4-5 months of the stay of the Nazis in the Belarusian Earth. Co-European people firmly believed that 1944 will be the last year of the hated Hitler's occupation. On the territory of the Brest region, partisan schools existed before the expulsion of the German fascist invaders, i.e. until the second half of July 1944

All these schools were primary, only with the first four learning classes. Classes led by teachers who lived in the locations of the dislocation of folk avengers or invited from other settlements. These were selfless people, infinitely loving their work. All teaching was imbued with deep idea, political pointedness. Teachers raised children in the spirit of hate to enemy, love and devotion to their socialist homeland, unshakable faith in our victory. In all forest schools of the Brest region, pioneer organizations were created, a large extracurricular work was created: the guys were held in artistic amateur activities, helped adults in many economic work related to the improvement of forest camps.

Until now, many former students and teachers of partisan schools of the Brest region are living in Belarus - witnesses and participants of one of the heroic pages of the people's history during the Great Patriotic War. For a more specific characterization of the conditions in which these schools worked, we present some moments from the memories of the former student of school No. 2 at the partisan detachment named after M. I. Kalinin Brigades named after F. Dzerzhinsky T. K. Cat, who after the war began to work as a teacher in schools Brest region.

Tanya Tanya Cat since 1942 was in the partisan detachment. In this regard, the family living in the village at every step was chased by German fascists and their agents. When it became completely impossible to live at home, the cat's family decided to go into a detachment. "It was in June 1943 in June 1943. I drove all day. I thought - I remembers T. K. Cat - what we will get into a large impassable forest, but I saw a solid swamp with small islands, on which partisan detachments were located ...

We met us as long-awaited and long-known people, although they saw for the first time. The island, where we came, was beautiful. Rose grew around the circle, and the trees crowns were hung at the top. In the twilight it seemed to us that we were in some park. Shalashi, covered with hay, seemed to us, children, also beautiful cozy. Two days after our arrival is the island subjected to bombing. Enemy aircraft descended very low and rocked by bushes from machine guns. So continued for more than a month. We had to lie in a swamp for all day, where there were a lot of frogs and snakes.

Soon it turned out that among us there were 9 pioneers. Komsomol members of the partisan detachment decided to organize a pioneer detachment in our family camp and open school. Party organization and command supported this initiative. The Komsomolets Peter Ilyich Ivanovsky, who didn't see the leader to us. He was hard to participate in combat missions, but for working with pioneers and for organizing school, he took very happy. The detachment command allowed us to sew pioneer forms from the parachute cloth. We also made yourself pioneering ties. Especially painstakingly and carefully embroidered with all the team a pioneer banner. Soon, 28 children were taken to pioneers in the solemn atmosphere. After that, I chose the headquarters of the pioneer squad.

School was opened on September 17, 1943. Komsomol members-partisans got tutorials and paper. In the school's device, everyone took the most active part. For this, the platform cleared, instead of benches put a log, poured yellow sand, which was very difficult to get here. All this was disguised from the top from the aircraft. It turned out that we will have three classes. Our teacher became Faina Petrovna Karabetyanov. According to her proposal, we had a solid day of the day: a rise at 7 am, a freezing, a toilet and breakfast. At the time when classes go in the same class, the rest prepare lessons, perform homework. After classes - the execution of work on the camp and preparation for fees. At 10 pm, the line on which the results of the day were briefly fed and the tasks for tomorrow ...

Paper, pencils and ink lacked. Therefore, I had to write on the birch bore with coal. There was no chalkboard, instead, we wrote with a wand on the sand. The textbooks were only one, two on the class.

Command decided by November 7 to build a winter camp. We in this work took an active part: helped to cut the logs, Drail Moss, brought different material. For us, a winter school was built in the form of a log hut with three windows, in which there was one glass. Covered fir-bark school, disguised and insulated on top of dry grass, leaves, moss. Heathered by the School of Iron Stove. Here we made benches from the board.

We have loved to gather in your school after classes. People who arrived from Moscow came here to talk to us. They told a lot of interesting things about the capital. Our school also visited the authorized Central Committee of Komsomol and the correspondent of one of the Moscow newspapers. Together with the ammunition, the Soviet pilots discharged to us on the parachutes of magazines, newspapers, paper. We were very pleased with these gifts from Moscow. Pioneers and schoolchildren prepared various numbers of artistic amateur affairs, with whom they performed both in their camp and in the partisan detachment.

Together with the folk avengers in the inhabitants of the civil forest camp, including children, in the spring of 1944 it was necessary to survive a heavy fascist blockade. They were forced to leave for ten days in a swamp, where we took our textbooks and paper with them. After again returned to the camp and continued to study. Students have managed well. At the end of the school year, outcomes and exams were held in the presence of a commander of the partisan detachment, commissioner, secretary of the Komsomol organization and teacher from another detachment. On July 24, 1944, we liberated the Red Army. "

These are some features of only one of the schools of the Brest region in the rear of the enemy. And how many peculiar, unique, interesting was in the lives of other such schools. The very fact of the existence of these, albeit few, schools was a vivid manifestation of the vitality of Soviet traditions to everyday life of our people who continued to exist and strengthen even in the most severe conditions of the fascist occupation.

From the book "Children Heroes", compilers I.K.Goncharenko, N.B.Makhlin
    Brave guerrilla.

On the crucible green street of Shepetovka with a deafening cracker, motorcyclists burst in black helmets, with highly buried, as if the butchers, the sleeves of gray from the dust of Franchi; In shorts, as if they were driving not to fight, but sunbathing on the beach. And the avalanche of cars, wagons, soldiers joined them through the city. In a few days, the fascists robbed, walked the native city of Vali Kitics.

... The edge of the sidewalk, now and looking around, the three children were made their ways: Valya Kitty, Kohl Turukhan and Natasha Gorbatyuk.

The guys suddenly stopped, closely clinging to the cold wall of the building, on which she had recently (still seen) was the sign "City Council", and now the fascist flag hung.

The building, creaking the brakes, stopped a long black limousine. From him leisurely, the fascist officer, Shepetsky Gebitskyist Vorbs, was important.

He slipped a contemptuous empty look at the Serulace Rubo-header boy in tornabouts, with bare feet bipoded, in this moment unwittingly removed from the wall. I got a glance and swallowed a wooden soldier gait to the gebitss-writer. But if the fascist for a few moments stopped his gaze on the face of the boy, he would see in his eyes an irreconcilable hatred.

Know the worm, who will soon, will soon be this cotton, then I know that in the hands of this cotton his life, he would be a voice full of malice, would give an order to grab, torture, kill Pioneers.

The worm was so deeply confident that here, in Shepetovka, everyone is capable only to bend the back in front of each fascist that half an hour later did not even believe some Efreitor Otto Schultsu, who had reported that he had stolen a weapon.

You, Schulz, themselves lost their machine somewhere, - worn at him. - Remember where the eggs and fat were requisitioned, and look!

He could not know that at the very time two boys and one girl Kubarem rolled into a funnel from the projectile far from the gebitss-insariat. These were the most guys that half an hour ago rubbed near the gebitstical examination, and in the hands they kept the machine Efreitor Schulz.

Natasha and Kolya, it's still hard breathing from rapid running and experienced unrest, we considered an automatic with a store, for sure the complete cartridges.
    - How am I him, eh? "Distributionful eyes, a roller said, remembering all the details of what happened.

This Valya first noticed near one of the gate machine. In the depths of the courtyard, the voice of some Fritz was heard. Natasha and Kolya did not immediately guessed, for which the roller suddenly whispered them hurriedly:
    - Rather in the next yard!

Only they jumped through the fence, as a car fell next to them in the grass, the roller jumped after him.
    - Bat!
    - Where to give him now? - asked Natasha.
"In the" piggy bank ", of course," answered the roller, "I now seek home for the bike and basket."

The beginning of the fact that the guys were called a "piggy bank", was laid on the eve of the morning.

The guys bathed in the river. The roller dived and hit the hand of something metallic.
    - Kolka, there is some kind of iron, come here, stretch! He called his comrade.

"Iron" turned out to be a rifle. The roller dived again. The catch was even richer.

Never a roller nor Kole Turukhan had to even dive so much. Their eyes have become red, like rabbits. The ears were sick. But on the shore in the thick thickets of the slot, there was a whole arsenal: rifles, a gun, even a machine gun.

It is a pity, there are no cartridges, "the roller crushed.

And where to be the cartridges? It can be seen, the fighters that have been surrounded here, all the cartridges were released on the enemy, and then they rushed into the water that became unnecessary weapons so that it did not get Germans.

The weapons were so picked up that it was not found anyone. This warehouse and called the guys "piggy bank". Now there is still an automatic cartridges.

For whom they gathered guys weapons? Frankly, the roller then did not know this for sure. He Kolya Turukhan spoke Natasha and Kole:
    - We will give it to those who will fight the fascists. And we ourselves are no longer small, right?

... to the tree of the cat, the eleven-year-old Pioneer from Voroshilov Street, have long been looking at the tearful, attentive, invisible eyes of undergrounders.

They like a bold boy, from under the nose of Fritz's taken automaton, discovered and dragged together with friends to himself for a barn disassembled in parts of the rifle and even a machine gun. And all in front of the Germans, in a basket tied to the trunk of the bicycle.

Soon, very soon the pioneer will endure the test, and the undergrounders, as equal, will take it into their family, will tell him:
"We believe you, Pioneer Valya cat, believe that you can fulfill any our task, whatever the dangers threatened!"

    Leaflets

A short, frequent beeps rang one of the numerous telephones on the table at the Gebitsky examiner - the device associated with the direct cable of the German General Staff Warsaw - Berlin.

"Is it really already known about this?" - He thought with fear, raising the phone.

So, from Berlin, from the office of the chief of Gestapo himself, requested what measures were taken to punish unknown persons who had yet at night under the slopes of Echelon with selected Hitler's soldiers.

What measures? Worrels did not talk about. Not to report the same thing that soon the day after the crash, and the rescue teams still continue to pull out the corpses of soldiers and officers from under the debris. Now, soon, a day, like a whisper to the east, no echelon can come to the front.

Footprints of the partisans led to the forest and lost there. So I came-corrected the workers sent to the wrapping partisans. They were simply afraid to enjoy into the depths of the forest, they knew: from there not to take their feet.

Soon midnight, and the worm does not leave his office, leafs by the police officers, interrogating traitors-old people. But they can not tell you about the fascist. They, too, like the Nazis, are afraid to launch a nose from the villages.

Among the night, a sick shadow burst into the doors of the gebitsky examination. And while the clock went behind the corner of the house, on the door, next to the ads of the reception hours, another white sheet of paper appeared. The clock did not pay any attention to him.

And the shadow silently slid further, from home to home. And on the walls in one, in another place there was a white rectangle of paper. Because of the clouds, the moon looked, and then it became clear that the fast shadow was a figure of a boy. So he wrapped behind the corner, looked around and, so as not to creak the wicket, shook right through the fence into the courtyard in front of a small house.

Through a tightly hanging window in one place, light pierced light.
"Does not sleep," the boy thought and gently pressed the head of the front door.
In the corridor, he fed, put the remaining sheets of paper into the shoe and then stepped into the room.

    Mother waited for her son.
    - Where have you been, roller?
    - So, walked.

Mother sighed. Walked ... Since the invaders came, the son became somehow secret, he had secrets, secrets from her, mother. Only once, the veil over the sons unknown to it was once awarded.

Valya once brought home several sheets of paper.

The room was sitting the host of Hat Radchuk and Stratkov and Lukashenko, which underground workers provided fake certificates about early liberation from captivity. Both of them now rested, came to themselves after long-month cautious work, hunger strikes.

Radchuk tstenfully grabbed one of the leaves.

    What is it?
"And look at the good one," said the roller.

These were leaflets discarded from an airplane and all up to one carefully selected by roller. Valya thought and Radchuk would also be happy to take a news from a big land, as Lukashenko and Strakov were delighted, greedily read the leaflet from the beginning to the end.

And I did not read Radchuk, everything was prettring, where did the leaflets come from, but how many of them, and where hid.

The roller was alerted, Prim. He still painted a caricature on Hitler next to the text, then put the leaflet in his pocket and went to bed.

Didn't the Valya suggest that Radchuk Radchuk will run to the police to report about leaflets, what does he report that Valya drew a caricature on Hitler?

But it can be seen, the roller has already begun to produce a real underground flair. Early in the morning, the sun rose a little when Rudchuk was not yet woken up, he left home and hid in a secluded place a solid pack of leaflets.

And at noon, the policemen were granted. They turned over in the apartment all upside down, led to the interrogation. Until the evening they were tormented there, but then they released. But Vasya Lukashenko failed to escape from the police. He was arrested and sent to Katorov to Germany.

Since then, the roller has closed even more in himself. And no matter how hard Radchuk tried to lift something about his affairs, to proceed with Pioneer and his mother, he could not know anything.

Leaflets continued to appear on the walls of Shepetovka houses. And the mother of the roller, Anna Nikitichna, had to guess that this case was not going without the participation of her son.

Unknown, gluing leaflets, worked more and more bold. Nutro in the gebitrary examination of the scandal. All Shepetovka laughed at unlucky invaders, which even the doors of their own office could not protect from leaflets. Where to deal with the guerrillas that were powered by Achelons.

And the roller, putting his hands in his pockets, looked around the opposite side of the street and gladly watched the police, who received the rotosaism to catch up from the worm, like a dozen kids dagger scraped a firmly glued leaflet.

Police hurriedly run past the vortex truss boy. They were not up to him. They could not come to mind that the brave, stressed leaflets on the doors of the Gebit Commissariat, the brave, in search of which they came down from the legs, so he walks nearby.

    Valya needs partisans

Some Stepan Didenko settled the cats, ahead of time. I did not like at first the roller new tenants.

First, he tried to live with all in peace and harmony, even with police officers, in whose huts at night, the roller and his friends beat the glass. Secondly, he went to the main street of the city every night. But there now and the cinema was only for the Germans, and the cafe is only for them. No self-respecting man would walk in the evening to walk on the main street of the city, sometime such a beautiful, cozy. And Didnko dressed in a beautiful suit, walked and returned home late.

Didenko clearly interfered with the shaft. What if he is the same as Rudchuk, and is waiting for the opportunity to grind about leaflets that were kept at a roller in shoes?

One day, when the roller already slept, Stepan, as always, came late. Looking at the Stopan Boots of the roller, I decided to fix them. He took the dust, the hammer, cloves, adjusted the shoe on the corner of the table and then felt something from his shoe to him on his knees.

    These were leaflets.

Didenko said nothing Anna Nikitichna. He repaired the shoes, put again under the insoles of the leaflet, put them near the roller bed.

In the morning, Didenko, as always, left for some kind of his business.

And roller? As he promoted, seeing his renovated shoes! After all, if Didenko proves to those who he accepted him, not to power him a dust. Yes, that his mother and brother will fall into the dungeons ...

Didenko actually told about the leaflets to his friends. His friends were underground sheepings. Until today, the roller really did not need to know about it.

Finally, he found, "Didenko said," who pokes the leaflets at night. " We thought that the underground group was unknown to us, and this is a Valya cat.

And then there was a serious, long conversation between Valku and Stepan, after which Didenko told Anna Nikitichna:
    - Anna Nikitichna, your son needs us ...

To whom "us", the mother of the roller did not ask. Anna Nikitichna knew that Didenko was partisans. After all, he was recommended for a residence for her communist Gorbatyuk. Through Anna Nikitichna, Gorbatyuk repeatedly transferred Didno information received by him from loyal friends. Didno often came to her, Uncle Vanya Nushenko, an externally harmless, elderly, a sutured man with a wand. But it is only outwardly. At night, he was transformed. Hanging at Uncle Vanya became lightweight, elastic. He could be long hours, not moving, lying at the railway canvase, watching the movement of the echelons, so that later by the radio, it was not afraid that the fascists could shut down, transmit encrypted reports to the partisan headquarters.

Yes, Anna Nikitichna realized very well what the words meaning "Your Son need us." This meant for rolling, and for the whole of her small family the beginning of another life, complete dangers. But she just told Stepan:
    - Okay. Once it need you, the partisans, it means that you need a homeland. Only ... take care of him, Stepan. Small he is still hot ...

And I became Valya Kotich's connected Shepet's underground workers.

Weapons that were so carefully collected and hid guys, on the centers with a hay mocked in the forest, in the partisan detachment.

But automata, rifles, explosives needed more and more, because more and more people came to the partisans, they all widerly unfolded their struggle with the invaders. Shepet's underground workers helped groups of prisoners of war from the barbed wire camps. And liberated fighters and commanders walked into the forest, to the partisans to take revenge the enemies, help the native Soviet army.

Hunting for weapons led curses sometimes in the most unexpected places.

Somehow in Shepetovka arrived from Germany an ensemble "Funef Cylinder".

"Only for the Germans!" - Passed posters.

But the roller succeeded imperceptibly to penetrate the former cinema, where dripping troupe gave her idea. The hall was filled. Soldiers ended with five girls in short skirts, black stockings and brilliant cylinders on lush hairstyles. Screaming: "bis, bravo!" And they drown out from delight.

But the roller was not at all interested in what was happening on the stage. Casting for the curtain, he cautiously inspired around.

No, after him, it seems, no one watched.

The Germans standing closely from him in the aisle was not enough of the poor place - from the unbuttoned holster there was a revolver handle ... The Germans, enthusiastically noticed, did not notice how the boy was separated from the porters, as the revolver flies out of the holster in his pocket.

After half an hour, Stepan Didenko weighed a weapon on the palm:
    - Good "gun"! Has Sacred Luca just no weapon suitable. Give him a revolver to him. I agree?

Of course, Valya agreed. He was very pleased that the revolver immediately fell into the hands of one of the most brave sheepy underfooters.

    Shepherds

Anna Nikitichna began to notice that for some pursust, Valentine was addicted to the mouth of a cow.

But he chased her not to the forest, where he grew up a juicy grass, but to a wasteland - the German food warehouses, which supplied the front.

Guys - Valya, Natasha, Kolya - Shalily, jumped near the cow. The sentries are so accustomed to the drain that they did not even distil them from the wire surrounding the warehouses. Only when they approached too close, the clock threateningly raised the machine, and the guys instantly flew to a decent distance.

The harmless company ... And Stepan Didenko and Gorbatyuk, every day accumulated more and more information about the location of the posts, the time of changing the guard, the number of cars drove and left the warehouse. All this was passed the guys, vigorously followed by each movement of the Germans.

And once in the evening, the truck rolled up to the warehouse. The guard has just changed, and the Germans sat quietly in the duty. Some were played on lip harmonics, others played cards.

A silent German officer jumped out of the truck cockpit and headed for Karaulu. The Germans sitting there jumped up to welcome the officer, and so remained standing with their hands raised up. They looked at the darkness of the machine.

In the purest German language, the partisans in the officerial form reported the security that if any of them swallowed to move, the automatic will speak, and then it is unlikely that someone from the guards will be able to go to the first place in Fathersland.

Following the officer, a disguised partisans took place on the warehouse. They brought the bidones with kerosene into cardboard boxes. Among the partisans, the guards were surprised to see those boys that grazed a cow near the warehouses. The boys led the guerrilla as if they lived all their lives in this warehouse, showed:

Here is food, here is uniforms ...

A few minutes later, the car was heavy, the car rope away from the warehouse covered by the flame. And the guard continued to sit in the guard, because the sign was hanging on the door: "mined". Valya hung this sign in front of the care.

After this operation, Stepa and Kolya went into a detachment. Valya still remained in Shepetovka.

Flaw on huge warehouses located in a hundred meters from gendarmerie, guarded by tens of clocks, not a joke alarmed the Germans.

But soon they were waiting for another surprise.

Again, masking under the shepherd, roller walks. But now for whispered, in a small fishing line. The cow is grazing, and the Valya is in one, in another place a small spermnaya spatula roets the pockets.

The partisans knew that through Shepetovka somewhere far to the west, in Berlin, there is a link. But how to detect a carefully disguised cable in the ground? Several intelligence groups were ordered to look for it. I was looking for a cable and roller.

Little Lockers, where Valya Pip Cow, he knew along and across. Once before the war, the guys were collected here, in the fall of the mushrooms ... The roller felt that something changed in the fishing line. But what? Trees have become more, thicker? No, on the contrary, the fishing lines cut through Loskka. Previously, it was not. This promotion so changed the forest. But for what they laid her heads? Maybe…

Valya looked around and, making sure that there was no one here, began to dig the land. Soon the shovel came across a brick. How to be here in the forest, in the ground bricks? Valya sewn ruined the Earth. Not one, but a number of bricks left somewhere underground from the east west along the perishes. Valya raised brick. In the stone bed somewhere stretched a gray snake of a thick-width cable. The sharp end of the Valya blades became that there are strength to beat on the lead snake.

At this time, the Gebitsky examiner kept the tube near the ear of the telephone, which was connected to this cable. He was preparing to inform his chief that they had a brilliant plan for the destruction of partisans, which for the fulfillment of this plan he would personally go to Slavuta revenge on the day ...

But it was not possible to talk: a crash rang out in the tube, and the excited voice of the telephonist said:
    - Damage on the line.

And Valya, overriving the cable, put a brick in place, carefully littered the earth, laid the place where he dug, green turf.

Let him try, looking for a break place! And the fascists accounted for more than a week to look for a cable break. More than a week there was no connection with Warsaw and Berlin.

    Grenade reached the goal

No, the GebitskyistSar could no longer postpone the punitive expedition against the partisans. He had to go to Slavuta to quickly defeat them and report, finally, the chief at least about one victory over invisible, elusive, formidable partisans.

And the partisans became known that the gebitstical examination was going to Slavutut.

Stepan Didenko gave the task of the roller:
    - The capture of the gebitussomar.

With the roller, his friend Step Kischi went to the task. Valya took the anti-tank grenade, and Stepa is a trophy machine.

The guys lay in the line at the turn of the road.
An armored car, full soldier, and open black limousine of the gebitsky examiner appeared in the distance.

And then, from roadside bushes, a vorticultural serunous cotton rose to the whole growth. His eyes were dark from anger, hatred for the fascist, the perpetrator of so many deaths of innocent people. In the hands of the boy - grenade.

Worrels leaned into the angle of cars. Oh, now he would have recognized this boy among thousands of others! But at that moment the explosion spread into pieces and car, and the gebitssist.

In Shepetovka began the clouds for the region. The Germans from the skin climbed to find the perpetrators of the bold attacks.

The underground workers began to thicken clouds. In Slavuta, the provocator issued Dr. Mikhailov, one of the leaders of the underground. The tentacles of the German Guard got to Gorbatyuk. He died of torture in the office of the head of the criminal police of the traitor to Nimanan, but did not give out anyone.

Natasha and mother had to go into the forest. The Germans, of course, would not leave the freedom of his wife and daughter of the Communist.

But the reprisals did not help. Trains on the railway increasingly flew under the slope.

Somehow Saturday night in the roller window there was a conditional knock. Didenko came. Now he was increasingly changing conspiracy apartments.

Going, "he said," your arrest is appointed on Monday.

Anna Nikitichna, roller and older brother Victor left on time. An hour after their departure to the apartment came the police ...

    Partisan scout

Before we build several people who again arrived in the squad. On the left flank the smallest - Valya cat. He is also armed. In his hands, he has a machine, one of the few dozen German automata produced by him.

Following Commissioner, Valya pronounces the words of the partisan oath:
    - I swear that I would soon die in a cruel battle with enemies than I give myself, our relatives and the entire Soviet people in slavery bloody fascism ...
    - Klya! Kley! - repeat all partisans. So began for the Vali Catics Life in Partizan
The detachment of the Hero of the Soviet Union Anton Zakharovich Oduhi. The currencies were determined by the scout in the detachment of LoguTenko.

Six echelons on the account of Pioneer Vali Citics. Six echelons with ammunition, equipment, the living force of the enemy let down the pioneer.

And how many courage and excerpt it was that during the intelligence to calmly pass past the German watch in Slavuta and in Izaslav, in Polon and Maidan-Vile, wherever the partisans had appeared, everywhere where large German garrisons were stood, military warehouses; To quietly go past the fascists when you are in the lining of the jacket sewn leaflets or reports to the partisan "center", the underground committee!

The connected was obliged to act quickly and clearly. And in the case of failure to be silent, silent to the end. Such is a guerrilla law. And the roller fearlessly walked towards countless dangers. The roller and his friends in the partisan compound were called Kurchagin. And this is a high rank, unknown who invented, filled the pride of the pioneer's heart. After all, his favorite book - "How Steel" Nikolai Ostrovsky was tempered. With her, the roller was not parted even in the partisan detachment. When he studied at school, he dreamed at least a little like her beloved hero. And the word "Korchagin" said that the comrades on the detachment very highly appreciate his merit.

How many times did the Valya risen his life, how much did he commit wonderful affairs? It is difficult to answer this question, because the pioneer risked his life every day, because the most wonderful things were considered the partisans with the most common combat work. So I counted and Valya. And by completing the task, he briefly reported about this commander, and then everything did not tell anyone more about it. And the time erased memories of many pioneer exploits.

... Valya received a new task: to go into the explosion to the village of Bolotin, check whether there are Germans there.

The boy gently rode on horseback through the forest thicket. Here and the swamp. The forest is suitable for the hassle. But what is this noise in the village, kajacking chickens, screaming pigs?

Valya left the horse in the bushes and sneaked at all close to the only street that crossed the village. And here I almost looked around.

There were two fasteners on the street. And in the courtyards, spreading their hands, chasing the chickens and piglets almost a whole platoon of the fascists.

Now you will have such jugs! - the roller whispered and two grenades threw it one after another.

In a few jumps, he was already in the bushes, at the horse. And the fascists, deciding that they attack them a whole squad, drew from the village.

... Once a group of LoguTenko, which was Valya, were commissioned to divide with the German garrison of one of the villages of the district. For several hours in a row, the partisans were guerrillas.

The halt, - finally, commanded the commander.

The detachment stopped, exposing around the Secrets. He became a post and roller.

Jorkously peered in the forest thicket. It seemed that everything was calm around. But suddenly someone is heavy, rough brought a boy under himself, turned his hands, took the machine. These were punishers who went to the trails of the squad.

Long! - ordered a roller through the translator. The Germans tried to achieve from him where he gave him a weapon where his combat comrades. But the roller just showed his finger into the sky. Threw, they say; With a parachute of the EGO one. Leaving near him two hours, the punishers carefully began to move deep into the forest, toward the detachment.

The roller lay on Earth and feverishly thought how to inform the partisans about the deadly threat, who hung over them. He moved, something round, the ribbed rushed to his foot.

Grenade! The fascists forgot to take a grenade in his confusion! He gently pulled his hand, put her in his pocket, removed the ring, jumped up and, thumping a grenade under his legs sitting on a hemp clocks, jumped aside.

Partisans heard an explosion. The fascists failed to catch them surprise.
    And Valya?
Pomegranates wounded by fragments, he is somewhat kilometers in the forest and, finally, the exhausted fell in the loan hut.

The forester was a guerrilla assistant, he picked up a pioneer and took him into a deaf village to Feldeshru, and then told the partisans about it.

After two weeks, Valya returned to the detachment. There was still a bandage on the head, he never cleared the deadline, did not wait until his wounds were chuck.

And here it stands in the rank festively dressed, tightened by partisans. The Commander of the Connection Oduha reads the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet Council of the USSR on the award of the guerrillas of the joint medals.
    - "For the courage and resourcefulness, manifested when performing the tasks of the command in the rear of the enemy, awarded the partisan Valentina Catics medal" Partizan of the Great Patriotic War. "
Serving the Soviet Union! - Caulded the roller.

... Forty fourth year. February. Soon the shaft will be fourteen.

Only fourteen?! - The partisans are surprised. Everyone got used to consider him eldest. In the partisan detachment Valya grew up, matured. His gray eyes look with a nonsense seriousness. Yes, early the fascists selected his childhood. It was they forced the boy instead of books, a notebook, toy to take a weapon to the toys.
    - Total fourteen! - Surprise comrades who saw how he rushes on horseback, as he shoots the machine, as he explodes the echelons.
"Already fourteen," the roller frowns. He wants to seem adult.

He has been offered to fly on a large land on the plane for a plane, in the rear to learn at school there. He was told: "You are still small."

How many tricks, perseverance had to attach Pionera to stay in the detachment! No, he could not leave the squad until the fascists trampled his native land.

The Germans retreated under the blows of the Soviet army. The front was closer to Shepetovka. The partisan compound received an order from the command of the Soviet army to take the storm the city of Izyaslav, through which the fascists sent all their echelons to the rear. Before starting the operation, the commander called the boy to himself:

In this battle you will stay at the disposal of the headquarters.
    - Stop in the attack! This is probably our last attack!
"No," Mysalev answered firmly. "You heard: yesterday they took a whisper. Soon there will be a school. You must be alive and healthy to return, that yes. I do not want something happened in this last battle.

Place on Izyaslav was a complete surprise for the Germans. After a short combat, the city was taken. But the partisans knew: the fascists would soon approach and try to discourage the city again. He meant too much for them. And Valya watched from the part of the partisan battalions.

But now he finally got a task - guard the warehouse of ammunition abandoned by the Germans. Roller dropped at the warehouse. Now he does not stop the step!

From the West, the tanks stumbled. The Germans threw the city "Tigers". And the guerrilla is not a single anti-tank gun! It's closer to the warehouse began to rush shells, mines. Fascists slowly touched the partisan parts. Here are the Germans very close to the warehouse, which is instructed to guard the shaft of the cat. He rushed to the ground and began to send a cartridge over the enemies.

And suddenly the Thunder "Hurray" came out. This is to help partisans walked troops of the Soviet Army. Valya has survived, threw a grenade into the retreats of the fascists and immediately collapsed to the ground, the fascist bullet.

    Pioneer Hero

Quietly rustle in the city park of century old trees. Under their canopy, next to the graves of the fighters of the Soviet army who died for the release of Shepetovka, there is a monument to the shaft of the cat, Pioneer-partisan. Near the monument always flowers. The guys keep the memory of the hero. His name is listed in the book of Honor of the All-Union Pioneer Organization named after V. I. Lenin. The school where he studied, carries the name of the Vali cat. At the desk on which he was sitting, now the best students of the school are sitting.
