    Fox and goat

The fox ran, gaped at the crows, and fell into the well. There was not much water in the well: you can’t drown, and you can’t jump out either. The fox is sitting, grieving. There is a goat, a smart head; walks, shakes his beards, shakes his mugs; looked, having nothing to do, into the well, saw a fox there and asked:

What are you doing there, fox?

I'm resting, my dear, - the fox answers. - It's hot up there, so I climbed up here. How cool is it here! Cold water - as much as you want.

And the goat wants to drink for a long time.

Is the water good? - asks the goat.

Excellent! - answers the fox. - Clean, cold! Jump here if you like; there will be a place for both of us.

The goat jumped foolishly, almost crushed the fox, and she told him:

Ah, the bearded fool! And he didn’t know how to jump - he splashed everything. "

The fox jumped on the back of the goat, from the back onto the horns, and out of the well.

Sitting in the well, sad, does not know how to be. At that time, a goat was walking along the road, shaking its horns, shaking its beard. He accidentally looked into the well and spotted a fox there, he became curious, he asks her:

What are you doing in the well, fox?
    - I'm resting, - she answers, - I felt hot, so I specially came down here from above. It's so cold here, there's plenty of water.

And the goat, in misfortune, really wanted to drink, he asked the fox:

Is the water in the well good?
    - Oh, good, - says the fox, - Cold and clean. If you want, try it yourself, there is enough space for the two of us.

The goat did not think about the consequences and jumped straight to the fox, so clumsily that it was splashed all over.

Why, you bearded fool, you don’t know how to jump - you doused me all over with water.

While the goat was thinking what was happening, the fox jumped onto his back, and from there - onto the horns, and from the horn - out. The goat was alone in the well. He sat there, without food, until they found him, but pulled him out by the horns.
