Faculty of Technology, Biology and Physics and Engineering

The Faculty of Technology and Biology of Mozyr Pedagogical University is considered a versatile structural unit. It trains people with both a technical mind and creative abilities. In the “technical labor and entrepreneurship” program, graduates are assigned the 3rd category in the working specialty “turner”. In the direction of “service work and fine arts” they become tailors.

The doors of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering are open for applicants who want to become teachers of physics, mathematics and computer science. Additionally, the specialty “vocational training (construction)” is offered, in which upon completion of studies the qualification of a teacher-engineer is awarded.

Faculty of Physical Education

The list of main structural divisions of Moscow State Pedagogical University is completed by the Faculty of Physical Education. It implements a small list of specialties:

• “sports pedagogical activity (coaching work in a sport).”

To obtain theoretical knowledge, classrooms have been equipped at the Faculty of Physical Education of Mozyr Pedagogical University. A special room for teaching skills has been created, which presents the necessary methodological and educational literature for students. In 2017, both high and low passing scores were observed in the university’s specialties. At the Mozyr Pedagogical University, the highest result in full-time and budget places was:

• in a specialty involving the study of English (main) and German (additional) languages ​​- 257 points;
• for “Russian language and literature, foreign language (English)” - 226 points;

The easiest way to enroll in 2017 was “mathematics and computer science”, “physics and computer science”, “vocational training (construction)”. In these specialties, the passing score did not exceed 130.

Competition for budget places

In 2017, at the Mozyr Pedagogical University, the budget was provided for both full-time and part-time studies. In both forms of study, several people applied for one free place. And this picture was observed in almost all specialties. The exception was one full-time program - “vocational training (construction)”. There was 1 person competing for 1 budget place.

Competition of more than 2 people per place was observed in the following full-time specialties:

• “physical education (special training)”;

In the correspondence department, high competition was observed in “social work” (3 people per place), “service work and fine arts” (2.5 people per place), and “biology” (2.33 people per place).

Trade Union Committee of Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakina

HELLO FRESHMAN!

In the first days of September, the trade union activists of the faculties of the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakina and the chairman of the primary trade union organization V.V. Strukov held meetings with 1st year students.

During the meeting, students were introduced to the goals and objectives of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers, and also spoke in detail about the activities of the tourism and excursion subsidiary unitary enterprise “Belarusturist”, “Belprofsoyuzkurort” and made a presentation of the activities of the primary trade union organization of the university.

As a result of these meetings, all first-year students joined the ranks of the industry trade union.

On September 5, 2019, as part of the “Hello, Freshman!” A meeting was held between the trade unionist of the Faculty of Philology and the first-year students, who were awarded union cards and products with the logo of the trade union organization.

Meeting with the Minister of Education

On July 5, 2018, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Igor Vasilievich Karpenko paid a working visit to the educational institution “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakin”, where he met with the staff and students of the university.

Speaking to the audience, the Minister spoke in detail about the challenges facing the education system, the new edition of the Education Code, and conceptual approaches to the development of education adopted by the Republican Pedagogical Council.

Visit of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus I.V. Karpenko's visit to the university was rich and diverse and took place in a friendly and warm atmosphere.

Long distance adoption

May 18, 2018 in the main building of the educational institution “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakin” a meeting was held with the chairman of the students’ trade union committee V.V. Strukov. and representatives of the Italian foundation “Let’s Help Them Live” represented by the head of the project “Adoption of Students at a Distance” Braconi Luciano and Piero Frattaroli, a member of the administrative Council of the foundation, on issues of further cooperation, holding a student forum in the city of Grodno.

During the meeting, 21 students were awarded special scholarships as part of the “Adoption of Students at a Distance” project. The scholarship amount for 6 months is 120 euros.

DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENT SELF-GOVERNMENT

In order to get acquainted with the possibilities and prospects for the development of the student self-government system at the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakina held a round table on February 28, 2018.

The round table was attended by chairmen and activists of student self-government of faculties and dormitories, chairmen of the trade union bureau of faculties, secretaries of the NGO "Belarusian Republican Youth Union" of faculties, students of secondary schools in Mozyr.

The focus of the round table was on current issues of organizing the activities of student and student self-government in modern educational institutions. The following speakers addressed those present: Matveeva S.V. – Head of the Department for Educational Work with Youth, Strukov V.V. – Chairman of the students’ trade union committee, Piskun O.K. – Head of the Youth Parliament and UNESCO Club “We”, Marinenko E.N. – Chairman of the regional organization of the Belarusian Red Cross Society, Borisenko V.V. - and about. Despite the serious topics, the round table meeting was informal and friendly. At the end of the event, the participants continued to communicate in the format of a tea party, for the organization of which the trade union committee of university students allocated 40 rubles.

National cuisine competition

On February 27, 2018, a national cuisine competition for foreign students was held in hostel No. 3, organized by the department for educational work with youth together with the students’ trade union committee.

Students from Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Ukraine, Russia and the Republic of Belarus took part in the competition.

The contestants (girls and boys) prepared superbly. Each team prepared several sweet dishes: brushwood, halva, pies with various fillings, pancakes, pies, muffins, etc. The competition participants told the audience about the peculiarities of preparing national dishes, while everyone was dressed in the national clothes of their country.

Each contestant presented their national dish. The jury determined the best participants in the following categories: “For the best presentation of dishes”, “For the originality of the idea of ​​serving dishes”, “For national flavor”.

To organize the event, the trade union committee of university students allocated 60 rubles.

Charity event “Visiting a Fairy Tale”

On October 11, representatives of student government, SPPS specialists and the chairman of the students’ trade union committee V.V. Strukov. held a charity event dedicated to Mother's Day for pupils of the State Educational Institution “Social and Pedagogical Center”.

A game program “Visiting a Fairy Tale” was prepared for the children, which included many competitions, games, dance and musical numbers. A pleasant addition to the positive emotions received were sweet prizes and stationery, which were collected for the children by university students and the student trade union committee.

Republican campaign “Let's congratulate mom together!”

On October 11, in accordance with the work plan of the Presidium of the Council of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus for July–December 2017 and the letter of the Central Committee of the industrial trade union “On participation in the action,” the primary trade union organization of the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakina (chairman V.V. Strukov) organized a thematic platform “Let’s congratulate mom together!” in the foyer of the main building, where anyone had the opportunity to receive and fill out a greeting card for free to send to their mother. “Triumphers of Risk” and pages of history

On October 8, 2017, students of the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Preschool and Primary Education (Deputy Dean for Educational Work I.L. Sudibor, curators L.M. Shetsko, N.A. Borisenko) with the support of the students’ trade union committee (chairman V.V. Strukov ) visited the city of Gomel with an excursion program.

The first part of the trip included a visit to the Gomel State Circus. The exciting performance “Risk Triumphants” left no one indifferent. Masterful acrobatic performances, dangerous stunts without insurance, miracles of training, magic tricks, mischievous and fiery humor were demonstrated by the laureates of international circus festivals. The performance impressed the audience so much that they did not let go of the artists for a long time, greeting them with stormy, prolonged applause.

The second part of the trip was devoted to visiting the calling card of the city above the Sozh - the Gomel palace and park complex. The architectural monument of the late 18th century - the Butler Princes Rumyantsev and Paskevich, as well as the informative story of the guide, allowed us to plunge into distant history. And, of course, how could we not enjoy a walk through the magnificent park, decorated with autumn leaf fall.

"Open Days at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus"

On February 2, 2017, as part of events dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science, as well as in connection with the announcement of 2017 as the Year, students of the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakin was visited National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The excursion was organized by the Council of Young Scientists and the Student Scientific Society with the support of the primary trade union organization of university students.

At the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, students got acquainted with the history of the library, modern information resources and services, visited the memorial office of the Belarusian writer Pyotr Glebka and the exhibition of the department of rare books and manuscripts.

In order to familiarize themselves with the national historical science, the students visited the archaeological scientific and museum exhibition of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Students of Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakina at the festival of youth creativity “Student Autumn”

On the initiative of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, within three days, from 15 to 17 November, representatives of 38 Belarusian universities participated in festival of youth creativity "Student's Autumn" in Minsk, where they were able to show their creative potential and ask pressing questions that concern students.

On Tuesday, November 15, with the participation of the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus Mikhail Orda and the Minister of Education Mikhail Zhuravkov, as well as heads of large industrial enterprises of the country passed student summit “Vector of Growth” , within the framework of which the awarding of student trade union activists - laureates of the FPB scholarship took place. That same evening, the grand opening of the “Student Autumn” took place at the site of the Minsk State Linguistic University. The mood for the most anticipated youth event of the fall was set by the finalists of the Republican trade union creativity competition of labor collectives “New Names of Belarus” and Belarusian pop stars.

The second day of the festival, November 16, became the most intense and eventful day - competitive tests revealed the best in the categories “Vocal”, “Instrumental Genre”, “Choreography”, “Original Genre”. 5th year student of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering of the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakina Andrey Efremov took 3rd place in the “Instrumental Genre” category. Participants were also able to attend specialized master classes by professionals in their field. This day of “Student Autumn” was also interesting for applicants, because on November 16, as part of the festival, the “University Environment” project was launched, the goal of which is to help students decide on their future specialty.

Student forum

From May 13 to 15, 2016, the VI Republican Student Forum was held in Mogilev, organized by the “LET’S HELP THEM LIVE” Foundation (Italy) and the educational institution “Mogilev State University named after. A.A. Kuleshova." More than 180 students from 10 universities of the Republic of Belarus took part in the forum, including a delegation from the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakina of 28 people (headed by V.V. Strukov, chairman of the primary trade union organization of the university).
The student forum has been held in the Republic of Belarus since 2010. The goal of the project is to unite the efforts of Italian families and Belarusian students in implementing humanitarian actions in favor of children in need.
On May 14, a charity fair and event “Childhood Holiday” was held, where students from participating universities presented their own products. On the same day, a charity concert of the Belarusian musical group “I MODENA” (Rechitsa) and the Italian musical group “YUMAL” took place.
Within the framework of the Forum, the “Best Student of the Year 2016” and “Voice of Hope” competitions were held. The competition “Best Student of the Year 2016” was won by a student of the Faculty of Philology of the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakina Kalenik Kristina.

At the trade union committee of students of the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. On January 14, 2016, a solemn meeting was held dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the liberation of Mozyr and the Mozyr region from the Nazi invaders, in which the administration, teachers, staff and students of the university took part.
On the same day, students and teachers of the university visited veterans - former employees of our university: Kochubey Frida Yakovlevna, Kochubey Vladimir Danilovich, Romanova Ekaterina Filippovna. About the features of the 2015 entrance campaign.

Answer. There have been no fundamental changes, except in terms of admission and passing scores.

Firstly, the deadline for submitting documents to the university has increased slightly compared to last year. This year, citizens of the Republic of Belarus will be able to apply for education at the expense of the budget from July 8 to July 15. The same deadlines for submitting documents are also provided for paid forms from applicants taking entrance examinations at the university (for example, for specialties related to physical education and a number of others). As for specialties that require three certificates to be submitted to the admissions committee, the acceptance of documents for them for a paid form will be held from July 8 to August 2. The second change was an adjustment to the minimum, or, as they are sometimes called, threshold certificate scores. Thus, in 2015, unsatisfactory grades were established: in the first subject of the profile test for mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology - from 0 to 14 points; for the history of Belarus, modern world history, social studies, geography, foreign languages ​​- from 0 to 19 points; in the second subject of the profile test - correspondingly 5 points lower. Russian language, Belarusian language - from 0 to 9, excluding a number of philological specialties. That is, if an applicant enters, for example, the specialty “Biology and Chemistry,” then he must have a certificate in Russian language from 10 points, in biology - from 15 points, in chemistry - from 10 points. Unlike last year, this year, if an additional enrollment is announced, the minimum scores will remain the same.

The benefits remain the same as last year. In particular, applicants who have graduated from schools and colleges with a gold or silver medal or have a diploma with honors will be able to enroll in teaching professions without entrance examinations. True, if there is a recommendation from the pedagogical council and only for certain specialties.

How does centralized testing work?

Answer. There were applicants who were late for the CT, including for unexcusable reasons. It should be remembered that if the delay occurs for a valid reason, confirmed by documents, then the applicant can submit documents for registration for centralized testing on a reserve day. Unfortunately, every year there are applicants who registered but did not come to the CT. In one of the universities, there was a case of removal because of a mobile phone, when an applicant carried it in her pocket into the classroom and at the end of the test began talking to her parents. The presence of a mobile phone by an applicant, as well as any other materials (for example, cheat sheets, etc.) during the CT period are violations and lead to removal from the classroom.

What specialties are most in demand among applicants? Are there plans to open new specialties?

Answer. The most popular specialties among applicants are “Physical Education”, “Biology (scientific and pedagogical activities)”, “Speech Therapy”, “Pre-school Education”, “Foreign Languages ​​(English, German)” and some others. Specialties in physics and mathematics are also in demand, but not all applicants successfully pass tests in mathematics and physics. Most likely, there are several reasons for this. One of them is that a significant part of the applicants are graduates of previous years, and, naturally, they have already forgotten the rather complex school curriculum in mathematics and physics. This year, the university has resumed enrollment in the specialty “Belarusian Language and Literature” (by the way, the department graduating from this specialty is 100% staffed with highly qualified personnel, that is, doctors and candidates of science).

The rector of our university, V.V. Valetov, pays a lot of attention to the discovery of new specialties that are in demand in society. One of them is “Educational Management”. It is intended, first of all, for the management of educational institutions: directors and their deputies. Documents for opening this specialty are located in the Ministry of Education. If the decision is positive, recruitment for this specialty will be announced next year.

It is planned to optimize qualifications in higher education in the Republic of Belarus, since there are overlapping specialties. For example, in Belarus there are similar specialties with the qualifications “Economist-Manager” and “Manager-Economist”. In this case, most likely, we are talking about the same specialty, although the names are different. During 2015-2016 We should expect a decrease in the number of specialties and duplication will disappear. Reducing the number of specialties and at the same time increasing the number of students studying in them will reduce the cost of training students at the university.

Are there non-teaching specialties at the university?

Answer. The university has separate non-teaching specialties. For example, “Biology (scientific and pedagogical activities)”, “Social work” (social and pedagogical activities)” and some others. This year we opened a new specialty “Sports teaching activities (coaching work indicating the type of sport).” Although these specialties do not belong to the pedagogical profile, additional qualifications allow graduates to work in educational institutions. But there are specialties of exclusively classical type. For example, “Computer Physics. Computer modeling of physical processes". Graduates in this specialty will receive the qualification “Physicist.” Programmer".

How many students are you planning to enroll?

Answer. It is planned to enroll 306 students for full-time budget education and 180 students for part-time budget education. Compared to last year, enrollment for the daily budget uniform has increased slightly, while enrollment for the paid uniform, on the contrary, has decreased. Also, compared to last year, enrollment in part-time education has been reduced. Thus, in general, the university management, together with the education department of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee and the Ministry of Education, is gradually optimizing enrollment figures for teaching specialties.

Will there be a targeted admission of students this year?

Answer. This year, according to the target enrollment, places have been announced for the following specialties: “Pre-school education”, “Primary education”, “History and social science disciplines”, “Russian language and literature”, “Foreign languages ​​(English language, German language)”, “Mathematics” and computer science", "Physical culture. Special training", "Physical education. Physical education, health, tourism and recreational activities”, “Biology (scientific and pedagogical activities)”, Service work and fine arts” and a number of others. What documents are required for admission to a shortened correspondence course for the specialty “Preschool Education”?

Answer. You need a diploma with a college completion supplement in the relevant specialty, a CT certificate in the Russian (or Belarusian) language; the results of two entrance tests that you take at our university; a medical certificate of health, documents confirming the right to benefits (if any), 6 photographs measuring 3x4 and a statement in the prescribed form, which is written at the university. When submitting documents, you must provide a passport or a document replacing it.

Is it possible to transfer to Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakina from another university?

Answer. Yes. And such a practice certainly exists. The conditions for transfer are the availability of vacancies, the intersessional period (for example, it is necessary to transfer to a correspondence form in the period between sessions). Also, the academic difference should not be too big. The academic difference is determined by the dean of the faculty based on an analysis of the grade book (or a copy thereof). Therefore, first of all, the student needs to contact the appropriate faculty. Moreover, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that if a student studied on a budgetary form of education, then it is possible to transfer him to us to study also on a budgetary form (if there are vacant budgetary places). We usually have such places.

Is hostel provided?

Answer. During the period of entrance examinations, we provide all nonresident applicants with a hostel at an affordable price. Also, all first-year students, without exception (budget and paid forms), are provided with comfortable dormitories.

Answer. Mozyr residents can study without leaving home, without unnecessary problems with housing and food. Still, living and studying in the capital requires significant financial expenses. Moreover, it is no secret that not all universities in the capital provide their students with places in the dormitory. With us you can get the same quality education, but with lower financial costs. In recent years, the “visiting professor” practice has begun to be used. For example, at our university in the spring and summer of 2015, students were given lectures by professors from Belgorod University. Thanks to information technology, formats such as video lectures and video seminars are developing.

Mozyr University is unique in its kind; a large number of Olympic champions and medalists study here. A core of teachers has been formed, including highly qualified trainers. I am convinced that not every university allows a student to train with an Olympic champion in the university gym.
